Leading IP Communications Firm Establishes Wavelength Service in Telx Data Center

New York, NY ( July 23, 2013) – Telx®, a leading provider of global interconnectivity, cloud enablement services and 100% Uptime SLA data centers, today announced that Allstream, Canadian leader in IP communications, will establish a new  U.S. point-of-presence (POP) at Telx’s CHI1 Facility located at 350 E Cermak in downtown Chicago. Telx’s CHI1 facility is within the world’s largest datacenter at 1.1 million square feet and one of the most critical facilities for the financial services industry. As the operators of the “Meet-Me-Room,” and one of the largest colocation providers at the CH1 facility at 350 Cermak, Telx provides industry leading data center and connectivity services for the global business community.

Under the agreement, Allstream will establish an interconnection between their original POP in Printer’s Square Chicago, with Telx’s CHI1 data center. The arrangement enables Allstream to offer the same high grade, redundant, IP Wavelength service suite out of CHI1.  Allstream customers now have more choices for their interconnection points.

The facility offers access to the CME/LNET Exchanges, direct access to SFTI Network and other carriers via fiber to the other suites within the building.
