CME Group Prices $750 Million Aggregate Principal Amount of Senior Unsecured Notes03.05.2015
CHICAGO, March 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — CME Group Inc. (NASDAQ: CME) today announced it priced an underwritten public offering of $750 million aggregate principal amount of senior unsecured 3.000% notes due 2025. The offering is being made under CME Group’s existing shelf registration statement and is expected to close on March 9, 2015, subject to customary closing conditions.
CME Group intends to use the net proceeds from the offering (1) to redeem, repurchase or otherwise retire prior to maturity all $612.5 million aggregate principal amount of the outstanding 4.40% Senior Notes due 2018 issued by CME Group Index Services LLC, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of CME Group Inc., and guaranteed by CME Group Inc. and (2) for general corporate purposes.
