FlexTrade Appoints Shane Remolina Director of Sell-Side OMS Technologies
FlexTrade.com – New York – FlexTrade Systems (@FlexTrade), a global leader in multi-asset execution and order management systems, today announced the appointment of Shane Remolina as Director of Sell-Side OMS Technologies for North America. Based in the company’s headquarters in New York, Remolina will head sales and business development for FlexTrade’s sell-side OMS solutions.
According to Remolina, trading technology for the sell-side is ripe for disruption via innovation. “Many firms are faced with intensified cost pressures due to operations, regulations and technology, and must differentiate themselves in order to increase market share,” he said. “FlexTrade is ideally positioned to provide that differentiation. This is accomplished in two ways. First and foremost are our state-of-the-art technology solutions, which are available in both customizable and turnkey versions. Second is our client-centric installation approach, which is akin to a partnership whereby FlexTrade’s service and support teams work hand in hand with clients to install a system that will not only address all their needs, but also provide a tangible ROI.”
Shane Remolina comes to FlexTrade after spending nine years at Bloomberg Trading Solutions in various capacities (head of sales for North America, product development, enterprise sales) centering around their sell-side trading platforms. Prior to Bloomberg, Remolina worked for three years at Citi Group Capital Markets/Lava Trading selling low touch algorithmic trading capabilities and OMS technologies to the sell-side. Previous to Lava, Remolina worked for SunGard managing bulge bracket sell-side accounts from 2001 to 2003, and for Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette’s (DLJ) online retail trading desk handling equity and derivatives order flow from 1998 thru 2001.
“I am pleased to welcome Shane to FlexTrade’s OMS team,” said Rajiv Kedia, FlexTrade’s Principal and Associate Founder. “With more than 18 years of experience in the sell-side trading space, he brings a breadth of knowledge and understanding that will be invaluable for our outreach to the broker-dealer community interested in changing or upgrading their legacy order management systems.”
FlexTrade’s OMS solutions cover the entire spectrum of sell-side trading needs. Whether it is a turnkey platform that can be quickly implemented or a customized system that can be integrated into a firm’s trading environment, FlexTrade’s OMS solutions streamline workflows and processes reducing operational costs; manage multiple asset classes; and offer a variety of trading styles, such as portfolio, ETF and ADR trading.
