NYFW: Day 8

02.14.2014

On Thursday, fashion-goers braved the storm to prove that nothing will stop them from setting their sights on the trends for next season. On day 8 of NYFW, we saw shows from the likes of Hernan Lander, Marc Jacobs, Clover Canyon, Calvin Klein Collection, Wayne, Threeasfour, J.Mendel, T by Alexander Wang, CG, Polo Ralph Lauren, Ralph Lauren, And Re Walker, and The Elder Statesman. Highlights from the runways include Hernan Lander’s Fall/Winter looks featuring structured and flattering forms, with geometric shapes. A favorite look of our was the leather jacket with houndstooth panels paired with a leather wrap skirt featuring uneven hemlines, and strappy heels. Marc Jacobs’s runway looks showed neutrals and soft pastels from beginning to end creating a serene feeling, starting off simple and slowly evolving into more intricately detailed pieces with sequins, beads, ruffles, ombre fur and 3D floral designs. Going along with the theme of the snow day–white–Threeasfour showed all white Fall/Winter designs with a futuristic feel, featuring their signature curved hems.
