Jefferies Raises $13m for Humanitarian Aid in Israel

Jefferies announced that thanks to the generous support of its clients, partners, and employees the total contribution to charities that provide critical humanitarian aid to those impacted by this week’s violence and terror in Israel has increased to $13 million.

We are proud to announce an additional $4.4 million contribution, on top of the previously announced $8.6 million donation. Mike Bloomberg will match our $2 million donation to Magen David Adom, and Mark & Erica Gerson will match our $2 million donation to United Hatzalah. We have also received an additional $400,000 from our employee-partners and clients.

Jefferies is committed to making a difference to better our global community. Jefferies announced that it will donate $8.6 million to 10 charities that provide critical humanitarian aid to those impacted by this week’s violence and terror in Israel.

The Firm’s Doing Good Trading Day, held October 10, raised contributions from net trading commissions from equities and fixed income, vendors, and from Jefferies’ more than 5,500 employees and Jefferies.

NATAL NATAL provides immediate psychological response through on-site treatment and its mobile unit. $550,000
Sheba Medical Center Sheba Medical Center provides urgent medical care. $550,000
Kaplan Medical Center Kaplan Medical Center is a major general hospitals with a recognized center of excellence in trauma. $550,000
Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh) A major hospital providing life-saving medical care and supplies. $550,000
Ichilov Medical Center (Sourasky) A major hospital providing around the clock medical care. $550,000
Zaka Search and Rescue A UN-recognized humanitarian volunteer organization that provides rapid response to mass casualty disasters across the world. They work with legal solutions, mourning services, missing children, emergency kit stands and search and rescue missions among others. $350,000
