Capital Group Debuts Eight Active ETF Model Portfolios

Capital Group, one of the world’s largest and most experienced active investment managers, has launched eight new active model portfolios comprising its all-active exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The launch of the eight new ETF model portfolios comes in response to the growing trend of financial professionals increasingly seeking active ETF model solutions1 and builds on the success of Capital’s model portfolios.

Just three years ago, Capital launched its first six active ETFs designed to serve as the core building blocks of client portfolios. Today, the company offers 22 ETFs in the U.S., with over $53B in assets under management (AUM) and sold by over 35,000 financial advisors. This makes Capital’s ETF offering the fastest, organically grown suite of active ETFs in the market, with 5.8% market share.2

“We know nearly two-thirds of the highest growth financial professionals incorporate models into their practices3, which can afford them more time with their clients,” said Holly Framsted, Head of Product Group, Capital Group. “We have adopted a listen-and-launch approach to what and how we bring new products to market, in the case of ETFs ensuring the strategies address the largest, most commonly allocated categories in client portfolios. We have done the same with our eight new, all-active Capital Group ETF model portfolios, one of the most requested solutions from our clients, second only to our recently launched Capital Group U.S. Small and Mid Cap ETF (CGMM).”

The new range of all-active ETF model portfolios from Capital Group includes:

Capital Group has grown its suite of model portfolios to approximately $61B in AUM since launching its first Capital Group model portfolios in 2016.4
