InTick Block Matching Goes Live for Eurex & ICE Rolls
  • Global investment managers process live futures orders through InTick, partnering with a Tier 1 Executing Broker
  • Brings innovation and automation to traditionally opaque, highly complex and manual futures block trading processes

  • Improves efficiency, price discovery and trading outcomes to benefit buy-side and sell-side participants

InTick, the listed derivatives blocking network, announced that its block matching platform is now live and facilitating the exchange of active futures block orders across its platform. The InTick platform went live during the June ICE Gilt and Eurex Fixed Income futures rolls, replicating some of the most sophisticated and complex listed derivatives workflow strategies that investors implement to mitigate risk, manage volatility and demonstrate best execution.

InTick brings innovation and automation to the traditionally opaque, highly complex and manual futures block trading processes, addressing the inefficiencies experienced when executing and booking exchange-traded assets. With the ability to show axes across different contracts now live, the InTick network is growing at pace.

Traditionally, futures block trading involves a significant degree of manual pre-and-post trade information exchanges. These are highly complicated workflows that are costly, inefficient and time-intensive for both sell-side and buy-side participants.

The lack of electronification, centralised pricing information and independent matching makes futures blocking one of the last areas of trading that has remained untouched by the innovations prevalent in other asset classes, placing unnecessary constraints on broker choices and the ability to participate in block trading.

InTick enables electronic all-to-all client matching for both equities and fixed income futures markets via a consolidated order book, aggregating all available Listed Derivative block liquidity in one platform.

James Goater, CEO of InTick, said:“We are very excited to finally see our vision for meaningful change in futures block trading come to life. It’s so great to have realised the innovation that has been lacking for so long in this area of trading, and it is particularly gratifying to see how both buy and sell side participants are embracing the change that is so desired and needed”.

“With InTick, we are fully challenging the status quo of high-touch, listed derivatives block trading. Across the market, we are now solving the significant inefficiencies in executing and blocking exchange-traded assets.”

InTick is a fully centralised hub for price dissemination and discovery for listed derivatives block trading and is authorised as an FCA Appointed Representative. InTick is the golden source of independent, evidence-based pricing that enables optimal trading decisions and trusted execution analysis.

The InTick platform supports all-to-all trading as well as RFQ price discovery via fully automated, front-to-back listed exchange block trading. It empowers trading participants with actionable liquidity insights from an automated, simplified and transparent platform that centralises traditional processes and workflow information, thereby removing the cost and complexity of futures block trading.

Darren Upton, CIO iSAM Vector, commented: “Congratulations to InTick on reaching this significant milestone.  InTick offers significant benefits to accessing block liquidity for Listed Derivatives, and we are excited about the opportunities they can bring to iSAM”

Ben Parker, Co-Founder and COO of InTick, added: “This is a very exciting milestone for the business and for the industry as a whole. We now have an opportunity to deliver the benefits of digitised processes to those organisations looking to embrace innovation, optimise block futures trading and drive business growth.”

“Our aim is to expand the listed derivative blocking network and open new trading opportunities for all market participants.”
