Canada Debuts First Single-Stock ETFs

Cboe Canada Inc. proudly welcomes the return of Purpose Investments Inc. with the launch of 10 new tickers, marking a major milestone: the debut of Canada’s first-ever suite of single stock-focused ETFs.

This innovative product line – the Purpose Canadian Yield Shares – is designed to deliver monthly tax-efficient income while providing targeted exposure to leading Canadian companies. These ETFs represent a new era in Canadian investment options, combining the familiarity of blue-chip names with monthly income and the power of an ETF structure.

“Congratulations to Purpose as we roll out another new innovation, together,” said Victor Werny, Head of North American ETP Listings at Cboe Global Markets. “Purpose made history in 2022 with Canada’s first U.S. single stock yield-focused ETFs, listed on Cboe Canada. Now, they’re breaking new ground again – this time, with Canadian-listed companies. Cboe is proud to be the exclusive listing venue for this exciting new suite!”

Now trading on Cboe Canada, the following 10 Purpose Canadian Yield Shares ETFs offer targeted exposure and consistent income potential:

  • Purpose RBC (RY) Yield Shares ETF (RBCY)
  • Purpose Enbridge (ENB) Yield Shares ETF (ENBY)
  • Purpose TD (TD) Yield Shares ETF (TDY)
  • Purpose Shopify (SHOP) Yield Shares ETF (SHPY)
  • Purpose Canadian Natural Resources (CNQ) Yield Shares ETF (CNQY)
  • Purpose Scotiabank (BNS) Yield Shares ETF (BNSY)
  • Purpose Dollarama (DOL) Yield Shares ETF (DOLY)
  • Purpose Telus (T) Yield Shares ETF (TY)
  • Purpose Couche-Tard (ATD) Yield Shares ETF (ATDY)
  • Purpose Brookfield (BN) Yield Shares ETF (BNY)

“Many Canadian blue-chip stocks provide reliable growth, and with Canadian Yield Shares, investors can now enhance those investments with an innovative approach to generate higher monthly income,” said Yuan Gao, Vice President of Product at Purpose Investments. “Using Yield Shares, investors can turn stocks they already own and love such as TD, Enbridge, and Shopify into a source of consistent monthly income while still participating in their long-term growth.”These new funds join the 24 Purpose ETFs already listed on Cboe Canada, reinforcing Purpose’s role as a pioneer in accessible, yield-oriented strategies. Investors can trade units of all Purpose ETFs through their usual investment channels, including discount brokerage platforms and full-service dealers.
