 
                                The Trader TV Awards USA took place on October 10th 2025 in a fantastic ceremony at Dear Irving in New York.
Attendees were treated to cocktails, jazz and networking with some of the giants in trading and investment management. Results were top secret until the evening, with winners surprised on the evening and presented with a ‘Noddie’ trophy for their outstanding work in appearing on the show.
The Trader TV Awards were voted for by Trader TV subscribers, and with nearly 300 votes cast the winners were judged purely on their merits by their peers in the markets.
The categories were:
- The best overall US contributor on ‘Trader TV: This Week’;
- The best US trading commentary in 2025;
- The best insights into AI use in trading;
- The best analysis of US market activity;
- The most interesting thematic interview;
- The most useful markets update;
- The most practical view of applied trading technology;
- The best trend spotter in market structure;
And
- The best use of marketing budget.
The winner of ‘Best overall US contributor on ‘Trader TV: This Week’ was Sally Bartunek of Ninety One who has appeared on the show many times, delivering hugely insightful updated on topical issues and big picture themes.
‘The best US trading commentary in 2025’ category was won by Jamie Anderson of Insight Investment who gave a great interview on how to time a trade and balance transaction costs.
With four videos competing for ‘The best insights into AI use in trading’, the winners, Isabel Carman and Katie Savignano at LTX were delighted at their win, with their interview discussing how clients were moving from AI-curious to AI-active through positive engagement with their AI tools.
The ‘Best analysis of US market activity’ was won by Armin Tobaccowala of JP Morgan for explaining why market volatility has driven greater demand for passive algorithmic bond strategies.
The most interesting thematic interview was the collective of John Cortese, Apollo Asset Management, Dan Friedman, Millennium Management Global Investment, Drew Mogavero, Barclays and Mike Sobel, Trumid as the Lehman Brothers alumni who shared lessons and memories that shaped their careers.
Miguel Cota of American Century Investments won ‘The most useful markets update’ for his assessment of ‘Liberation Day impact and contagion risk across all global markets’.
The most practical view of applied trading technology was won by Dwayne Middleton of T. Rowe Price who explained algo adoption in fixed income and the use of applied agentic AI to supporting traders.
The best trend spotter in market structure was Leland Price at JP Morgan who picked out regulatory and market shifts which are increasing use of bilateral streams and protocol selection in secondary markets.
The best use of marketing budget went to Cabrera Capital Markets, with the award collected by Dave Mishoe, for the firm’s generous sponsorship of drinks at the event.
