ING has partnered with Behavox to launch Pathfinder Investment Research, an industry-first AI-powered tool that delivers instant, plain-language access to ING’s market insights.
ING’s FX teams will use Pathfinder to deliver real-time insights to clients, enhancing market intelligence in currency markets. The technology is now being rolled out across ING’s full product suite, giving front-office teams in all asset classes instant access to tailored research.
This launch marks the next step in ING’s strategy to leverage large language models (LLMs) for smarter, on-demand financial intelligence.
Pathfinder transforms how investment research reaches front-office teams by applying LLMs to provide timely, tailored insights. Users can now ask questions about financial markets and receive clear, research-driven responses—combining Behavox’s AI expertise with ING’s depth of market knowledge.
Already integrated with Behavox’s Mosaic technology across ING’s FICC front office, Pathfinder extends these capabilities, enabling real-time, plain-language access to ING’s research and intelligence.
Simon Bevan, Global Head of e-Trading at ING, said:
“AI has the power to fundamentally change how clients access and use financial research. By combining Behavox’s technology with ING’s market expertise, we’re creating smarter, faster ways for clients to interact with our insights—helping them make better decisions in a rapidly evolving environment.”
John Showell, Head of Strategy and Business Development at Behavox, added:
“Pathfinder connects the dots between insight and execution. ING saw the opportunity to use AI to drive revenue by distributing research in a smarter way. Pathfinder increases readership, drives trade flow, and grows market share.”
Pathfinder for Investment Research runs entirely on ING’s own data, using a secure and explainable AI framework. This ensures research distribution meets the bank’s strict governance and regulatory standards.
Behavox’s track record in compliance and AI for financial institutions was a key factor in the decision, ensuring the new tool meets strict standards for safe and responsible AI use in a regulated environment.
