Maria Ariza

María Ariza is the CEO of Mexico’s Institutional Stock Exchange (BIVA), leading the company since its launch and positioning it as one of the country’s most innovative financial markets, with more than US$45 billion in corporate financing and an average trading market share above 20%. She specializes in capital markets, private equity, venture capital, entrepreneurship, and sustainable finance.

She has played a key role in Mexico’s financing evolution, helping design and consolidate structures that support growth across all stages of capital. At BIVA, she co-created a competitive alternative in the stock market despite significant resistance to change. She also serves as an independent board member and participates in investment committees of major public and private companies. Her leadership has earned multiple international recognitions as one of Latin America’s most transformative business leaders.
