ANNA Integrates Digital Token Identifier

The Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) the global association dedicated to supporting efficient capital markets through the use of widely embraced International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) standards, announced that the ANNA Service Bureau (ASB) has expanded to include Digital Token Identifiers.

This increase in scope reflects the maturation of digital assets as they integrate into the broader capital markets ecosystem and transition to a business-as-usual (BAU) operating environment.

From 25 July 2026, ASB subscribers have access to XT ISINs for cryptoassets and Digital Token Identifiers (DTIs) for digital assets, where assigned.

The ASB is the most comprehensive source of standardised global financial identifier data, serving as a central hub for instrument reference data from over 120 National Numbering Agencies (NNAs) since 2001. Covering more than 200 jurisdictions, and free to members, the ASB platform provides single-point access to the broadest and only-directly sourced compilation of International Securities identification Numbers (ISINs) codes and associated referential instrument identification data for analysis, monitoring and validation. As of 1 July, the total number of ISINs in the ASB stands at 146,696,398.

Following the alignment of digital asset standards with established financial system standards, enabled through the partnership between ANNA and the Digital Token Identifier Foundation (DTIF), the integration of XT ISINs and DTIs marks the next step in enhancing data availability and transparency for digital assets. DTIF is a member of ANNA, being the designated Numbering Agency for XT ISINS and the Registration Authority for the DTI standard. This development enables market participants to access consistent and reliable identification data across evolving tokenised securities and cryptoasset markets.

Stephan Dreyer, Managing Director of ANNA said: “Digital assets are now a reality of financial operations today, and this integration into the ASB’s core database, represents the next natural milestone in our mission to standardise global identifier data. To make tracking these assets simple, we have introduced a specific digital asset flag within the system that instantly denotes whether an instrument is digital or tokenised. By bringing both XT ISINs and DTIs into the existing reference data suite, we have made it easier than ever for the market to access and leverage unified datasets to run their reporting and workflows with absolute confidence.”

Sassan Danesh, CEO of Etrading Software, parent company of DTIF said: β€œThe DTI standard has grown from a foundational identifier for cryptoassets into a practical bridge between digital and traditional financial markets. As regulatory frameworks increasingly recognise the need for globally consistent digital asset identification, the DTI is becoming an important reference point for transparency, reporting and interoperability. Our partnership with ANNA brings that capability into established market data channels, enabling DTIs and related reference data to be distributed alongside traditional identifiers and helping market participants integrate digital and tokenised assets into existing workflows with greater confidence.”

The ASB implementation strengthens the foundation for greater market efficiency, transparency, and confidence as digital asset markets continue to grow.
