Janus Henderson’s AAA CLO ETF Passes $30bn in AUM
  • JAAA, Industry Leader in AAA CLOs, Attracts over $5.7bn in Year-to-Date Net Inflows in 2026[1]
  • Janus Henderson is the largest provider of active securitized ETFs in the U.S.[2]

Janus Henderson Investors announced that the Janus Henderson AAA CLO ETF (JAAA), the world’s largest Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) ETF[3], has surpassed $30 billion in assets under management (AUM). Underscoring strong investor demand for the market’s leading CLO ETF, JAAA has attracted over $5.7 billion in assets this year alone[4], making it the second-largest active fixed income ETF.[5] This also furthers Janus Henderson’s position as the largest provider of active securitized ETFs in the U.S.[6] with one of the largest and most tenured teams in the industry.

Launched in 2020 as one of the first CLO ETFs, JAAA has been at the forefront of expanding access to high-quality, floating-rate AAA CLOs, enabling a broader range of investors to access an asset class once largely only available to institutional investors through a liquid, transparent ETF structure. With this year’s rate volatility, AAA CLOs have been one of the best performing assets classes[7].

John Kerschner, Global Head of Securitized Products and Portfolio Manager at Janus Henderson, said, “With more than $30 billion in assets under management and a track record spanning over five years and multiple market cycles, JAAA has firmly established itself as the leading AAA CLO ETF in the industry. As a leading active asset manager and pioneer in securitized ETFs, Janus Henderson combines deep securitized credit expertise with rigorous CLO manager due diligence and disciplined portfolio construction. JAAA provides investors with a differentiated source of income and low correlation to traditional fixed income asset classes while seeking to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns.”

Michael Schweitzer, Head of North America and Asia Pacific Client Group at Janus Henderson, commented, “Reaching this milestone is a testament to the confidence investors have placed in JAAA and the value they see in AAA CLOs as a strategic portfolio allocation. With the potential to provide attractive income, low volatility, and diversification benefits, AAA CLOs have earned an increasingly important role in investors’ fixed income portfolios. We are grateful for the trust and confidence our clients have placed in us, which have been instrumental in the success of Janus Henderson’s active fixed income ETF franchise.”

Janus Henderson has been at the forefront of active ETF innovation and offers a number of pioneering ETFs. Janus Henderson’s active securitized ETF suite of products includes JAAA, the largest CLO ETF, JA, which invests in high-quality AA to A rated CLOs, JBBB, which provides exposure to floating-rate CLOs generally rated BBB, JMBS, one of the largest actively managed mortgage-backed securities ETF, JABS, which offers access to investment grade asset-backed securities, and JSI, which invests in opportunities across the U.S. securitized markets. In addition, Janus Henderson manages UCITS and tokenized strategies across AAA, AA-A, and B-BBB (IG) CLOs. The firm is the third largest active fixed income ETF provider globally[8] and has over $70 billion in firmwide securitized assets[9].
