- Deutsche Börse Group introduces an extended market model combining core Xetra market liquidity with 24/7 trading via 360X, its affiliated entity.
- Existing Deutsche Börse clients can onboard directly to 360X and trade traditional DAX ISINs, with post-trade settlement processed through their existing Clearstream accounts.
Deutsche Börse Group offers 24/7 trading coverage for DAX 40 equities through off-hours execution on 360X’s regulated MTF segment.
360X facilitates Request-for-Quote (RfQ) execution during overnight hours and weekends, while Xetra continues to provide institutional benchmark liquidity during core European market hours (Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30 CET) as well as extended retail service on T7 (Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 22:00 CET).
Together, this enables clients to trade DAX 40 equities settled in euro outside regular exchange hours. This is a significant step towards an always-on European market infrastructure.
This dual offering allows standard DAX 40 instruments to be traded exclusively via 360X’s RfQ module, leaving core Xetra processes entirely unchanged. Standard auction cycles will persist, and off-hours closing prices on 360X will not dictate opening prices or impact opening auctions on Xetra.
Existing Deutsche Börse clients can already activate 360X today through a simplified administrative process within the Deutsche Börse Member Section. Participants can also continue using their established post-trade connections, with all trades settling bilaterally into their existing Clearstream accounts.
“Deutsche Börse Group aims to be the first European Financial Market Infrastructure to enable a 24/7 offering of traditional blue-chip equities,” says Eric Leupold, Head of Cash Market at Deutsche Börse Group.
“By enabling the DAX 40 constituents on 360X, we are safely bridging deep, regulated liquidity pools with the flexibility of round-the-clock availability, ensuring our clients can manage risk whenever global markets move; all while preserving the absolute integrity of the core Xetra benchmark cycles,” adds Carlo Kölzer, Head of Digital and FX at Deutsche Börse Group and Co-CEO of 360X.
