CBOE Wins “Equities Exchange of The Year” Award

09.22.2014

CHICAGO, IL — September 18, 2014 — The Chicago Board Options Exchange® (CBOE®) today was named “Equities Exchange of the Year” at GlobalCapital’s (www.globalcapital.com) Global Derivatives Awards ceremony in London.

According to the GlobalCapital Derivatives editorial team, “The home of VIX, CBOE has seen impressive volume this year, even in a low-volatility environment. The bourse has also been at the forefront of innovation, having introduced a short-term volatility index and a U.S. Treasury volatility index, as well as enhancing its flagship VIX index — all which contribute to CBOE being named the leading equities exchange globally.”

“Being acknowledged as the ‘Equities Exchange of the Year’ is a distinct honor for CBOE. We are thrilled to receive this prestigious award from GlobalCapital,” CBOE Holdings CEO Edward T. Tilly said.

Today’s event honors the people and companies that have made an impact on the global derivatives industry during the year. Over the last decade, CBOE and its executives have received over two dozen industry awards for leadership and product innovation, including last year’s “Outstanding Contribution Award” from GlobalCapital.
