STA Welcomes Combs as New Head of Planning & Product Services

Dear STA Members,

I’m pleased to welcome Dawn Combs to the Security Traders Association. In her role as Vice President, Head of Planning & Product Services. Dawn will be responsible for managing all aspects of STA’s Annual Market Structure Conference and other STA National events. She will deepen the relationships with current and prospective sponsors of STA, and will contribute to the development of a strategic business plan that includes membership, education and STA affiliate services.

Michelle Lindenberger, will remain in her role as Director, Head of Marketing and will assume a new responsibility for heading up STA’s Women in Finance initiative.

Kerry Flynn, will remain in her as role as Office Manager.

Dawn comes to STA after a long career with The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) and The Options Industry Council (OIC) where she was most recently Vice President, Industry Services. Dawn managed various communications and marketing initiatives including OCC’s Annual Report, several of which received accolades from financial communications and public relations organizations. She played an integral role in the strategic planning and marketing for OIC, an industry resource that promotes the awareness and responsible use of exchange-listed options. From 2011 to 2015, Dawn had oversight of the annual Options Industry Conference. This included supporting the inaugural Financial Advisors Forum in 2012 in New Orleans and again in 2015 in Miami Beach, both forums held in conjunction with the industry conference.

Dawn holds a B.S. in Finance from Northern Illinois University. She completed SIFMA’s Securities Industry Institute Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Dawn will be based in Chicago, and looks forward to meeting you all in the coming months.
