CFTC’s Market Risk Advisory Committee Announces Agenda for November 17 Public Meeting

CFTC.gov – Washington, DC — The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced the agenda for the upcoming Market Risk Advisory Committee (MRAC) public meeting on November 17, 2016 at CFTC’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. CFTC Commissioner Sharon Bowen is the sponsor of this Advisory Committee.

At this meeting: (1) the CCP Risk Management Subcommittee (CRM) will present to the MRAC its final recommendations on how Central Counterparties (CCPs) can further enhance their efforts in preparing for the default of a significant clearing member as discussed at the April 2, 2015, November 2, 2015, and June 27, 2016 meetings of the MRAC; and (2) the MRAC will discuss the Bank of England’s coordinated CCP default fire drill.

The meeting is open to the public with seating on a first-come, first-served basis. Members of the public may also listen to the meeting via conference call using a domestic toll-free telephone or international toll or toll-free number to connect to a live, listen-only audio feed.
