Nasdaq and NYSE File Oral Argument Letter

10.08.2018

Exchange operator Nasdaq wants its voice heard. And so does the New York Stock Exchange.

Traders Magazine has learned that Nasdaq and the NYSE (Arca) are filing a letter with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to renew their request for an oral argument to comment on a recent Wall Street Journal article titled ‘Brokers Score Win on Cost of Data Feed.’

In the letter to the SEC, both exchanges say that an upcoming ruling on data fees charged by the operators would be “inconsistent with the Commission’s Rules of Practice” in issuing a ruling on the matter with first hearing the exchanges’ motion for oral argument.

The comment letter is available on the SEC’s website
