OPRA Puts Out SIP Processor for Bid

New York, NY – March 19, 2019 – The Options Price Reporting Authority, LLC (OPRA) is preparing a Request for Proposal (RFP) to evaluate service providers for OPRA. OPRA is the registered securities information processor (SIP) responsible for the collection, consolidation and dissemination of last sale reports and quotation information generated by the exchange trading of securities options in the United States.

OPRA’s current contract for the technical operations and maintenance of the OPRA system is soon to expire. Jordan & Jordan has been hired to prepare the proposal and manage the selection process of a provider with which to execute a new contract. Jordan & Jordan, on behalf of OPRA, is seeking firms interested in being OPRA’s service provider for the duration of this new contract.

Firms interested in responding to the RFP will be required to execute a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). The RFP will be available for distribution to firms that have executed the NDA on April 18, 2019. The deadline for an Intent to Bid letter is May 17, 2019 with the RFP responses due by May 31, 2019.
