Noza Mutalova is Senior Director of International Business Development at Finance Montréal, where she leads initiatives to strengthen Montréal’s position as a global financial hub and advance collaboration between financial institutions in the United States and Canada. In this role, she works closely with global banks, asset managers, insurers, and government stakeholders to support international expansion and strategic partnerships within Montréal’s financial ecosystem.

She began her career as an intern with the United Nations, an experience that sparked her interest in international cooperation and economic development. She later became a partner in a successful IT consulting startup before building a career in the financial sector, where she held senior advisory and leadership roles at Laurentian Bank and Scotiabank, advising high-net-worth clients on investment strategy and wealth management.

At Finance Montréal, she regularly represents Montréal’s financial ecosystem at major international forums and helps organize initiatives and events focused on sustainable finance, artificial intelligence in finance, and talent development.

Committed to expanding opportunities in finance, she mentors students and professionals—particularly women, minorities, and immigrants—through Finance Montréal’s talent initiatives, and supports professionals transitioning into sustainable finance careers. She also promotes financial literacy among young adults, helping them build foundational knowledge in budgeting, investing, and taxation.

Noza holds a Master’s degree in Economics and International Development from Yale University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Tashkent State University.
