Peter H. Loehnert, Managing Director, is the APAC Head of BlackRock Global Markets & Index Investments (BGM). He is a member of the BGM Executive Committee and the APAC Executive and Operating Committees.

Mr. Loehnert oversees teams at the core of BlackRock’s markets and investments platform, including Index Investing, ETF Markets, Global Trading, Securities Lending, Liquidity and Financing. BGM is focused on advancing the investment processes and platform architecture in these areas, and on ensuring collaborative and strategic engagement with other market participants.

Mr. Loehnert joined BlackRock in London in 2011 and has held several leadership roles in Europe and APAC, serving as Global Co-Head of Transition Management (TRIM), International Head of the Cash Management business and, most recently, APAC Head of the iShares ETF and Index Investments business.

Mr. Loehnert started his career at Commerzbank in 2004, followed by roles at Cominvest Asset Management, Lehman Brothers and Nomura across Frankfurt and London.

Mr. Loehnert graduated from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, earning a BSc degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance. He is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
