Betty Chen of Citi to Win Mizuho Corporate Culture Award

Markets Media is pleased to announce that Betty Chen of Citi will win the Mizuho Corporate Culture Award at the 2025 Women in Finance Awards, to be held on Tuesday, November 11 at The Plaza in New York.

The Mizuho Corporate Culture Award recognizes a woman who promotes a cohesive and collaborative workplace environment that in turn enables engaged, valued, and motivated employees to drive organization effectiveness.

Corporate culture can be driven from the top but at the end of the day there is no excellence in corporate culture without excellent individuals.

Chen, Managing Director and Global Head of Client Strategy for Sales Business Development at Citi, is known for being tireless in her efforts to drive the best outcomes, and fearless to question the status quo. She is a driven leader and a role model for colleagues, persevering through personal challenges while always having her colleagues’ best interests at heart.

“I’m truly honored to be recognized by Markets Media with the Corporate Culture award,” Chen said. “Culture is never the work of one person – it’s shaped by those who came before us, those we work with today and those who will lead after us. I’m grateful to be part of the Citi team and community that values integrity, inclusion and collaboration. A strong and evolving culture is both our foundation and future.”

“We are proud to partner with MarketsMedia on the Mizuho Corporate Culture Award, honoring individuals and firms who foster healthy workplace environments,” said Liz Ceisler, Chief Human Resources Officer, Mizuho Americas. “At Mizuho, we recognize that employees thrive when they are engaged, motivated and feel connected to the overall strategy of their organization. Our senior leadership sets the standard by modeling open communication, empathic leadership, and respect for all. We are delighted to celebrate industry peers who share these values and congratulate Betty for her outstanding contributions to workplace culture.”

Jacqueline Wilhelmy of AllianceBernstein won the Mizuho Corporate Culture Award at Markets Media’s 2024 Women in Finance Awards.
