Cookies Galore!

By May Zhee Lim, Markets Media Life Correspondent

In honor of National Cookie Day, put your oven to good use and try out these heavenly cookie recipes. Whether you like your cookies sweet or salty, chewy or crunchy, frills-free or laden with extra sweets, these recipes will cater to every taste bud.

Blue Bottle’s Double Chocolate Cookies

The only thing better than chocolate is double chocolate. The dark chocolate makes these cookies richer and more chocolatey than usual, while the almond meal makes them moist and tender to the bite.

Dark Chocolate, Pistachio and Smoked Sea Salt Cookies

This sounds like something you’d find in a gourmet market, but easily made in the kitchen. The smoked sea salt gives it an extra kick, and undercuts the sweetness so you can properly savor the dark chocolate and pistachios.

This is fairly easy to make. Twenty minutes tops! Just toss some Nutella and peanut butter into the mix, and treat yourself to a batch of extremely addictive cookies.

Cinnamon French Toast Cookies

Looking for your next holiday sweets recipe? Try these unassuming but definite crowd-pleasers for your next family gathering.

Ambrosia Macaroons

The finely grated orange peel introduces a burst of fresh flavor into this classic recipe. Go crazy with the bittersweet chocolate drizzle!

White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha Cookies

This is a no-bake recipe, and only takes 15 minutes to make. Maybe it’s a little bit of a cheat, since cookies are already involved…

S’mores Bars

Graham cracker crust, chewy center, topped with marshmallows and Milk Chocolate Candy Bars. Chewy and crunchy, all in one.

Turtle Thumbprint Cookies

This style of cookies is all the craze this season. Pecans, caramel, and chocolates make the best combination for dessert. Not the easiest recipe to undertake, but it’s worth taking the time for if you want treats that look as good as they taste.

Big Soft M&M Cookies

These cookies are serious contenders for most popular cookies of all time. Dotting your cookies with M&Ms makes them treats within treats.

The Best Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

The burst of melted chocolate as you bite into a perfectly made oatmeal cookie is the reason why this mash of two classics never fails to please.
