Deutsche Börse Extends Retail Trading Hours on Xetra

MiFID II Prompts Banks to Keep Time

From Monday, December 1, 2025, Deutsche Börse extends trading hours on Xetra for retail investors. Trading is now possible on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.  – a total of 14 hours.

This gives working people more flexibility, as they are able to trade via Xetra even after the working day. The extension of trading hours applies to stocks, ETFs and ETPs. Due to late trading, retail investors can now react better to developments on the US stock exchanges, which close at 22:00 CET.

These new, longer trading hours are part of Deutsche Börse’s new retail trading model, with which we are responding to the significant increase in demand from retail investors. We want to involve retail investors more closely in the capital market and offer them more professional trading conditions. On Xetra, they benefit from a high level of liquidity and transparency.

Please also note Circular 052/25 of November 12, in which we pointed out adjustments in the course of the new trading hours from December 1.
