Fidelity Unveils Onchain Money Market Fund

Fidelity has launched the Fidelity Digital Interest Token (FDIT), a new onchain tokenized money market fund. Ondo Finance is proud that its Ondo Short-Term US Treasuries Fund (OUSG) serves as the sole anchor and largest investor, currently representing over 99% of FDIT’s assets.

Fidelity’s entry marks another major milestone in the institutional embrace of tokenization, joining a growing list of leading asset managers bringing traditional money-market products onchain. We’re encouraged to see this continued momentum, and proud that Ondo is playing a pivotal role in catalyzing adoption, liquidity, and ecosystem maturity through OUSG, in collaboration with Fidelity.

Industry Momentum: Tokenization Goes Mainstream

When Ondo launched OUSG in January 2023, it was one of the first tokens to provide investors with exposure to U.S. Treasuries onchain. That early step has since been followed by major institutions. The launch of BlackRock’s USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL) in March 2024 introduced a meaningful step forward for tokenized Treasuries, particularly through its integration with Circle to enable instant redemptions to USDC.

We were proud to be the first to integrate BUIDL into our own infrastructure—migrating the vast majority of OUSG’s reserves into the BUIDL fund. Over time, we have diversified OUSG’s holdings into multiple sources of collateral. Now, we’re excited to include Fidelity’s FDIT as a key addition.

Ondo’s OUSG Ecosystem: A Broad Network of TradFi Collaboration

Ondo Finance continues to lead the way in real-world asset tokenization. OUSG has grown into a flagship product with more than $730m in total value locked, delivering:

  • Instant, 24/7 subscriptions and redemptions
  • Daily interest accruals
  • Low fees
  • Multi-chain support across Ethereum, Solana, Ripple, and Polygon

OUSG’s portfolio now spans funds from the world’s most trusted asset managers, including:

  • BlackRock’s BUIDL
  • Fidelity’s FDIT
  • Franklin Templeton’s BENJI
  • WisdomTree’s WTGXX
  • Wellington Management and FundBridge Capital’s ULTRA

This broad base reflects a growing TradFi–DeFi collaboration, with Ondo as a central connector.

Looking Ahead

The launch of Fidelity’s FDIT signals another step forward for tokenization, one that Ondo is proud to help accelerate through OUSG. We’re proud to build on innovations from Circle, BlackRock, and now Fidelity among many others. And we are equally committed to strengthening the systems that sit atop them. As tokenized finance evolves, Ondo will continue to play a key role in driving innovation across the assets, infrastructure, and protocols that enable a more open, global financial ecosystem.
