genesis Rolls Out ‘Low-Code’ And ‘No-Code’ Solutions

05.16.2019

genesis, the international capital markets software firm, has launched Creative Studio, to accelerate the development and deployment of scalable and interoperable products and solutions over the web, without the need to write any code.

This innovative launch by genesis comes in response to the growing market demand to build and deploy web-based solutions across capital markets, including buy-side & sell-side, execution venues and clearing houses.

Creative Studio delivers web applications, within hours, instead of the usual weeks and months, vastly expediting time to market. It does this by producing single-page web applications as well as OpenFin applications from a single application codebase. Once the applications are created, developers can further customise and develop on top of the generated codebase, that has been built using industry best practices. Creative Studio is not only used by genesis’ clients but also by the genesis product team, allowing all to accelerate  web solutions using the same ‘low-code’ approach.

As a key part of the overall genesis microservices framework, Creative Studio further enhances rapid and agile solutions development. Using the genesis framework, business problems are broken down into small functional components, significantly reducing the overall complexity usually associated with building capital market products and solutions.

Creative Studio further democratises the design of web and OpenFin applications by eliminating the need to write additional code, making the development of solutions much faster and much simpler. It is designed to empower business users that perhaps do not have deep technical or coding knowledge to build custom software solutions at speed and is underpinned by the core genesis framework thus taking performance, security, and scalability for granted.

Commenting on Creative Studio, Stephen Murphy, genesis CEO said: “At genesis we are constantly striving to innovate and develop our entire technology stack. By providing improved tooling such as Creative Studio, and with the demand for more and more rapid web delivery, the use of Creative Studio makes this a reality.”

Chuck Doerr, OpenFin President and COO added: “Our approach at OpenFin has been to provide the underlying operating system and app store capabilities, but we purposely leave app development to our development partners and customers. Creative studio is one of the fastest and most scalable ways to do OpenFin app development. It considerably accelerates the development of applications on your digital transformation journey.”

genesis has already successfully built and implemented  Automated Quoting System (AQS), a solution to automate fixed income workflows for treasury, broker dealer and wealth management clients over the web and also directly onto OpenFin’s operating system.  It was created as an application on the OpenFin OS in minutes, using Creative Studio without the need for technical resource or coding, a ‘no-code’ solution.
