IEX Launches Revenue Share for Data Vendors

New initiative recognizes the critical role vendors play in delivering and expanding access to direct market data

IEX Group, Inc. announced the launch of a new, innovative vendor partnership program designed to expand access to direct IEX Exchange market data. The program will align incentives with the firms that power market data distribution, connectivity, infrastructure, and end-user applications, reflecting the continued growth of IEX’s equities business.

The vendor partnership program creates a commercial framework that reinforces IEX’s commitment to delivering high-quality market data through a simple, transparent, and cost-effective model. It aims to support the vendors that help market participants discover, evaluate, access, and integrate data solutions through a new revenue sharing model. Participating vendors will be eligible for an incentive program tied to qualifying new client subscriptions to IEX market data products for a period of time.

“Vendors are a critical part of the market data ecosystem,” said Kristen Pross, Head of Market Data, Access & Member Services at IEX. “They help firms navigate an increasingly complex landscape and deliver solutions tailored to the needs of different market participants. As IEX’s share of U.S. equity trading has grown, we have seen increasing demand for direct access to our data. This program reflects our commitment to meeting this demand while also supporting the firms that help make it possible.”

In Q2 2026, IEX’s market share was approximately 4% of overall U.S. equity trading volume and nearly 8% of exchange-traded volume, making its market data increasingly valuable to firms seeking deeper insight into trading activity and liquidity.

“As markets become ever more data-driven, access to high-quality exchange data has become increasingly important for firms seeking a more complete view of market activity,” said Stacie Swantrom, Global Head of Market Services at Pico. “Direct exchange data can provide important insights that complement consolidated feeds and support a range of trading and analytics use cases. We appreciate IEX’s focus on working collaboratively with the vendor community to expand access, simplify adoption, and share revenue.”

The program is intended to encourage vendors that deliver market data services to prioritize support for direct IEX market data feeds by establishing more predictable and attractive economics.

Eligible products under the program include:

  • IEX TOPS™
  • IEX DEEP®
  • IEX DEEP+™

The program builds on IEX’s broader efforts to deepen engagement with the market data vendor community through expanded outreach, technical support resources, and initiatives designed to make it easier for vendors to distribute and support IEX market data products.
