MERRIN KEYNOTE, INSTITUTIONAL INVESTOR OUTLOOK AND BULGE-BRACKET DEBATE HIGHLIGHT MARKETS MEDIA’S 5TH-ANNUAL GLOBAL MARKETS SUMMIT

More than 400 senior financial-market professionals are expected to attend Markets Media’s fifth-annual Global Markets Summit, to be held on Wednesday, November 28 at the W Hotel in New York City.

The conference will be highlighted by the Main Debate, in which senior executives from Bulge-Bracket banks including JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and Barclays face off with customers and competitors in a wide-ranging, uniquely interactive discussion spanning electronic trading, technology, regulation, and restructuring.

Other panels will cover the buy side’s search for alpha; the evolving relationship between institutions and hedge funds; updates on futures, options, and swaps; and the latest developments in algorithmic, high-frequency and multi-asset trading. Global Markets Summit will be keynoted by Seth Merrin, founder and chief executive of alternative trading system Liquidnet.

Attendees of GMS 2012 will include senior executives from institutional money managers, exchanges, banks, broker-dealers, hedge funds, alternative trading systems, software/technology providers, and regulators. More than 60 buy-side institutions will be represented, including AllianceBernstein, Vanguard Group, Guggenheim Partners, and Fifth Third Asset Management.

Global Markets Summit will close with a networking cocktail reception — always a highlight of Markets Media events. This one will be extra special as it will double as a celebration marking Markets Media’s five-year anniversary. Markets Media holds conferences in New York, Chicago, Toronto and London. Founded in 2007, the New York-based company provides sophisticated, in-depth content spanning all sectors of the securities industry, delivered across a synergistic platform of print, online and events.
