MINT Polo In The Park Comes To London’s Hurlingham Club on June 8

05.22.2012

London is rife this year with events: Wimbledon in late June, the Olympics in July, and, in three weeks, MINT Polo In The Park at Hurlingham Club.

Kickoff for the three-day polo bonanza is on Friday, June 8, featuring all teams as they duke it out for a chance to win the tournament on Sunday. Playing in the match are clubs from Dubai, Moscow, London, Sydney, Buenos Aires, and other international elites. On this day, entrance is £10 from 5 p.m. to the park’s close at 9 p.m., with Harrods Food Court offering bites and refreshments.

As always, Saturday is a showcase of society and luxury: Veuve Clicquot will feature prominently, serving bubbly (and dominant swaths of yellow umbrellas and chairs) to women in their best dresses…especially as it’s the event’s special Ladies’ Day, after all. Champers not your thing? Have a Pimm’s Cup and talk Wimbledon with your mates as the matches grind on, instead. For Finals Day on Sunday, June 10, children can be entertained with face painting, magicians, balloon sculptors, and clowns, while stunt horsemen from the group Devils’ Horsemen show off their skills. Best of all, the tournament’s final ends with a prize ceremony that lets attendees flood the pitch with spirit and cheer.

Tickets can be purchased online. For additional information, please visit MINT Polo in the Park’s official website.
