Mobius Capital Selects Bloomberg Buy Side

12.10.2018

Emerging and frontier markets asset manager Mobius Capital Partners has adopted Bloomberg’s buy-side solutions. Founded by veteran investors Dr. Mark Mobius, Carlos Hardenberg and Greg Konieczny, the firm began working with Bloomberg in preparation for its launch in May 2018.

Bloomberg’s buy-side solutions offer full multi-asset capabilities to support firms in every stage of the investment lifecycle, including risk portfolio management, compliance, order and execution management systems, electronic trading and operational tools.

Supported by a first-class investment team, Mobius Capital Partners is focused on a single strategy based on actively partnering with portfolio companies to improve corporate governance and deliver a clear Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) pathway.

Dr. Mark Mobius, Co-Founder of Mobius Capital Partners said, “We have enjoyed working closely with Bloomberg for a number of months as we launched two separate vehicles accessing our single governance orientated strategy. Together we have built a collaborative relationship, leveraging Bloomberg’s expertise and innovative product suite.”

Specialty-focused firms like Mobius Capital Partners are often faced with choosing between scaling, specializing, or doing both. This can lead to challenges with identifying the right scalable tools, growing through new asset types or geographies, or managing costs. With the support of the right technology partner, firms can face these challenges by operating on one robust workflow or implementing a hosted solution for efficiency and cost savings.

“As investment managers establish operating models to scale their business, Bloomberg is well-positioned to partner with firms by providing the technology and insight required to access new markets, deploy new investment strategies, and grow assets without disruption,” said Palak Patel, Global Head of Product for Bloomberg’s Asset and Investment Manager (AIM). “Mobius Capital Partners is backed by a highly experienced investment team with deep knowledge and expertise of emerging and frontier markets. We are thrilled to support the firm with our buy-side solutions from day one and beyond.”

Mobius Capital Partners uses Bloomberg’s Asset and Investment Manager (AIM) as its order management system and Bloomberg’s Portfolio & Risk Analytics solution (PORT) to implement optimal investment portfolio strategies. Bloomberg AIM and PORT enable the firm to manage its global and cross-asset portfolio. Mobius Capital Partners also uses Bloomberg’s Execution Management System (EMSX) to integrate Bloomberg exchange and broker data with its equity, futures and options orders.
