Rival Systems Launches CAT Reporting Service

03.05.2020

CHICAGO (March 5, 2020) – Rival Systems (Rival), an award-winning provider of trading and risk management software, today announced the launch of their cloud-based Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT) Reporting Service. Rival’s reporting service meets the needs of firms trading equities and equity options with support for comma separated value log files as well as custom log formats. As a registered CAT Reporting Agent, Rival will offer CAT support for firms using any trading platform.

“We’re dedicated to helping clients meet CAT reporting requirements with as minimal impact to their business as possible,” said Robert D’Arco, CEO of Rival Systems. “Our cloud-based solution combined with a dedicated support team will eliminate the need for clients to setup additional infrastructure or allocate valuable resources to support CAT.”

For clients using the Rival Trader platform, log files will automatically be uploaded to the CAT repository at the end of each day. Clients using other trading platforms will upload their proprietary log files to Rival’s secure FTP site. Rival will automatically parse the raw logs to generate a CAT formatted file and upload the data to the CAT repository. Rival’s support team will actively monitor the system and help resolve any errors to ensure all required data is successfully reported at the end of each day.

The CAT Reporting Service is the latest addition to Rival’s extensive ecosystem for multi-asset trading and enterprise risk management. Over the course of the next few months, Rival will be rolling out additional functionality for real-time margin on CFE and ICE as well as real-time Customer Portfolio Margin and Risk Based Haircuts.
