S3 Signs Major Securities Brokerage Firm to Its Fixed Income Execution Quality Suite

10.28.2016

S3 – AUSTIN, TX – S3 (“the Company”), a financial services software company that provides customized solutions to monitor and analyze trade execution, today announced that it has signed a large U.S.-based securities brokerage firm to its Fixed Income Execution Quality Suite (“the Suite”).  This is the third major firm that the Company has added as a client utilizing the Suite since its launch in March 2016.

S3 continues to experience rapid growth, and the securities brokerage firm joins an expanding client list of banks, institutions, broker-dealers, exchanges and market makers utilizing the Company’s software for execution analysis of fixed income securities, equities and options.  The newly signed customer, which is one of the largest issuers of municipal bonds in the United States, is using the Fixed Income Execution Quality Suite for both internal and external reporting and analysis for corporate, municipal, and agency bonds.  The Suite provides complete analysis of execution quality for fixed income securities, allowing clients to examine historical prices and orders, as well as to compare their fixed income executions with other trades in the market and ultimately improving transparency.

Mark Davies, CEO of S3, commented on today’s news, “We are excited to have added a third major customer to our Fixed Income Execution Quality Suite, which allows clients to distinguish the execution quality of their fixed income orders from overall market conditions through analysis against a wide and detailed set of metrics.    Our analytical tools are fully customizable for the unique requirements of each client, and we have augmented the platform to fit the unique needs of the new securities brokerage firm customer.  We have implemented extensive enhancements to all of our product offerings and expanded our staff as our growth continues to accelerate.”

S3 also disclosed today that it has enhanced the audit trail functionality of the Fixed Income Execution Quality Suite.  The Company has upgraded the platform’s reporting capabilities with the addition of options to record data across a more comprehensive variety of timeframes, increasing the granularity of the data that customers submit to regulators.  Clients can now view all market data, as well as data for individual trades, while they compile their audit reports, ensuring a smoother trading and compliance process.  The enhanced Suite allows S3’s customers to compile an even more robust audit trail and thereby ensure full compliance with execution quality regulations, which is critical as regulatory entities increase their oversight of the fixed income markets.

Mr. Davies concluded, “We have further simplified the compliance process through the enhanced audit trail capabilities of the Fixed Income Execution Quality Suite.  Our customers are able to compile even more detailed reports that prove their orders are executed in a compliant manner, which enables better trade execution and improves trust in the fixed income space.  We have enhanced the platform based directly on client feedback, including that of the recently
signed securities brokerage firm.  We look forward to onboarding additional customers to the Fixed Income Execution Quality Suite, as well as our equities and options analysis products, and to continually enhancing our best execution analysis software.”
