The craftsmanship, intricate design, comfort and impeccable detail of each piece will leave you wanting a pair, or 25. He is primarily found in the likes of Saks and other well-known retailers throughout Dubai and the Middle East. Now based out of Milan, Anas is expanding within Europe and the US. If you want that loving feeling of a sexy, elongated leg with anything you wear, do yourself a favor and pick up a pair of AE’s. I promise you will feel like the princess you are. I know I do, when I sashay down the streets of any city I’m in.

Markets Media Life: Thank you for your time. To begin with – tell us a bit about your mission objective?
Anas Shanaah: My mission is to show the rest of the world the touch from my heritage through modern and trendy designs.

MML: What is the uniqueness of your firm/work/company?
AS:We are the first to introduce footwear fashion using the art of calligraphy as an integrated part of the design. We construct our designs using intersecting letters to create a “henna” sensation that transforms into leather footwear.

MML: What has the response been so far?
AS: The response had been great. We are rank in the top 5 selling brands in any store our designs are displayed at.

MML: What inspired you to start this venture?
AS:  My love for Arabic calligraphy and the love for my roots and background.

MML: How did you face the downturn?
AS: Luxury markets have taken a totally different path during this period. When everything else was falling apart, luxury seems to have kept strong hold.

MML: Tell us about a major achievement of your organization?
AS: We launched our brand in one of the most important stores in Dubai “Bloomingdale’s”. Starting with 6 designs, and hardly any idea how to manage the brand, it was a great step for us, and it is what actually put us on the map.

MML: What impact does Social Media (SM) have on your business expansion?
It is very important, especially these days. SM has enabled some influential people to know of us, and many fans turned into loyal customers through SM.

MML: What are your future plans?
AS:We are taking small steps in expansion. We want to make sure we can maintain the same quality and service as we expand. We already are selling in the Far East, Europe and the Middle East. We plan to expand to the US market soon.

MML: Your message for The Markets Media readers?
AS: This journey started with a simple concept. It turned into a dream. Now a good part is reality. Believe in yourself, and work hard. It pays off

MML:I always like to ask, What is that sets you apart? Your differentiator? Your “je ne sais quoi”
AS: My approach is, you may love what we do, or you may hate it. one thing for sure is that you will notice it. our designs have a common identity. You see that clearly in any piece we design.
