Symphony Introduces AI Agent Studio

Symphony – the AI-powered communication and markets technology platform – showcased its AI Agent Studio at its annual Innovate conference in New York last week. The firm demonstrated how market participants can overcome the challenges of implementing AI through a trusted security AI framework.

Symphony’s AI strategy centers on two key products, both showcased at Innovate: Symphony AI Studio and Symphony AI Insights. Symphony AI Studio enables the creation of agents using Symphony-provided tools, integrates customer-owned agents into Symphony workflows, and provides access to a library of Model Context Protocols (MCP) from Symphony and its partners as well as the capability to bring their own MCP and LLM services. Symphony AI Insights represents the evolution of trending topics and summarization agents, bringing powerful intelligence to workflows.

Symphony provides all the necessary elements to deploy, build, and scale AI in one place: network, identity, intelligence, and security by design. This includes a trusted security model with compliance and audit controls needed to safely deliver AI agents externally. Symphony can assist with building AI agents, or customers can develop or integrate agentic AI into Symphony with their preferred models, while assisting clients to meet regulatory requirements for human-to-agent and agent-to-agent workflows that are auditable. Capabilities extend to Symphony Federation, allowing agents to be deployed directly to customers’ preferred channels, such as WhatsApp.

The future of Cloud9 and trader voice

The future of Cloud9  – the firm’s cloud-native modern trader voice platform with dedicated devices and a connected community – is now defined by assurance, insights, and mobility. Cloud9 has enhanced its platform with new dashboards for Quality of Service and Quality of Experience, bringing proactive monitoring and solutions directly to users. Cloud9 stands as the only provider to integrate a voice platform, recording and capturing, and retention seamlessly, eliminating data gaps and allowing proactive customer voice reconciliation dashboards with a rich endpoint ecosystem of the touch-optimised Cloud9 desktop application as well as its Mobile app.

Native, frictionless connectivity

The firm demonstrated how it turns Microsoft Teams into an external engagement hub without leaving the Teams app, while providing access to a community of half a million professionals. Users can access Symphony Messaging via Microsoft Teams to connect workflows to the market across external channels, or use Teams interoperability to create unified intrafirm communication. Market-leading Federation channels enable native consumer app connectivity, with compliance always at the center through Purview, DLP, and user-specific permissions.

CEO Ben Chrnelich said: “Our goal is to deliver AI-enabled workflows, expanded Cloud9 trader voice offerings and data analytics to our clients. What we showcased at Innovate in New York highlighted the success of our efforts and the significant value that Symphony’s solutions deliver.” Chrnelich continued: “The diverse use cases underscore the industry’s need to continue developing secure, frictionless, and purpose-built technology for the financial markets.”

Symphony was joined on stage by customers and partners who shared their community innovations. The customer spotlight featured BlackRock’s Louis Rosato, who showcased Aladdin® by BlackRock, bespoke agents, and enhanced directory, through their partnership with Symphony. Innovate’s partner spotlight featured Stewart Jardine from CME Group and how they are embedding communication in CME Direct, with Symphony Embedded Mode. The community innovations included Aaron Armstrong from intellimation.ai, who shared how users are automating margin operations with Vector.ai (AI agent) and Symphony Messaging, and Trumid’s Ryan Gwin, who demonstrated simplifying data delivery using Symphony’s new Data Access, Retrieval and Transmission service (DART) over Symphony Messaging plus Enhanced Directory.

More than 400 leaders joined Symphony Innovate 2026 in person or watched live online. This year’s videos can be found here.
