“Nate’s brilliance, humility, and drive shaped every part of what Ondo is today. His belief in the power of technology to create a more open, accessible financial system lives on in everything we build.
The impact he had on this industry, and on all of us personally, cannot be overstated. Nate also helped us build a durable organization with experienced leaders across all facets of the business. Ian De Bode, Ondo Finance’s longtime President, will serve as CEO.
Ian has been leading our strategy, product, and day-to-day operations for over two years and has the full confidence of the leadership team. We will continue building what Nate started. That is the most meaningful way we know to honor him.”
Ian De Bode at Ondo Finance, said: “He was a trailblazer for tokenization and inspired many to follow his lead. He was the architect of much of the infrastructure powering real world assets today. His legacy lives on onchain. Thank you to all of you who continue to put your confidence in our platform and team. We will not forget the trust you place in us.”

“Graduated with a degree in Economics and Biology.
Entered the intense world of Wall Street.
Worked in private credit, then joined Goldman Sachs on their early Digital Assets team.
Saw the massive gap between traditional finance and the decentralized on-chain world.
While others chased short-term speculative hype. > He dreamed of a permanent bridge to bring real-world stability to everyday crypto users.
Left the security of Goldman Sachs in 2021.
Walked away from the comfortable corporate life to build from the ground up.
Founded Ondo Finance.
While many founders were posting lifestyle updates and partying on yachts. He stayed in the background, quietly writing code, designing complex legal frameworks, and knocking on the doors of conservative institutions.
Step by step, he integrated BlackRock, partnered with Coinbase, and scaled RWA on-chain.
On May 25, 2026, the news came out.
Passed away unexpectedly at 32.
The peak of his youth.
No public dramas, no controversies, no loud noise.
Just a multi-billion-dollar system running without a single pause.
Safe deposits, real yield distributed every second, not a single glitch.
The builder is gone.
But his bridge stands.

“When @joeykrugand I first heard the pitch, we immediately knew we had to invest. Nate had a rare ability to see where markets were going before others did, and we believed he would figure out how to bridge TradFi and DeFi in a meaningful way. When Ondo later pivoted toward RWAs and tokenization, we doubled down in the Series A with even greater conviction.
Nate combined vision, strategic sequencing, and relentless execution at an exceptional level. He consistently identified opportunities early, understood how to create long-term value step-by-step, and moved with incredible speed and precision. He was also a ruthless negotiator, so I’m glad I was usually on his side 🙂
He recruited a world-class team that continues to execute incredibly well, helping lead the tokenization and institutionalization of crypto.
Under the leadership of @iandebode, Nate’s vision for a more open financial system will continue to grow and succeed with the support of @dan_pantera, @FranklinBi, @cosmo_jiang, myself, and the broader Pantera team. Rest in peace, Nate.”
Condolences to all of Nathan Allman’s friends, family, and colleagues.@PanteraCapital is the largest outside shareholder of @OndoFinance , so I had the privilege of seeing Nate’s entrepreneurial journey from the very beginning and serving on the board alongside him.
