Happy New Year. As we all settle back into our work routines, I wanted to offer a brief update on our upcoming milestone awards event.

Markets Media Group is pleased to bring you the 10th Annual Markets Choice Awards.

As we all know, 2020 brought with it incredible challenges and hurdles that we all had to overcome and we continue to do so. We were very pleased to have successfully executed our Women in Finance virtual programs and ceremonies in Asia, Europe and the US, and it is with great gratitude to all our supporters that these programs are stronger than ever.

As we embark on the 10th annual MCAs in the now-familiar virtual arena, our editorial staff has already been busy mapping out the categories and collecting feedback from market participants. As always, as part of our year-round research and coverage across multiple MMG publications, all processes and protocols underpinning the events will remain intact.

The MCAs span the most important sectors of institutional trading and technology — buy-side traders; sell-side execution desks; exchanges and platforms; incumbent technology providers, and emerging fintech firms. Our methodology in selecting nominees and then winners is simple yet thorough, and keeps the focus on the most important opinions: those of market participants, rather than our own.

We eagerly hope to return to a semblance of normalcy sometime in 2021 when we can once again don our tuxedos and gowns and gather in person. In the meantime, as we continue to navigate the uncertainty, we very much look forward to continuing to recognize and celebrate the best companies, platforms, products and people, albeit in the virtual setting we have become so accustomed to.
