To the parents, who instilled in their children the value of service to a greater good.
To the siblings, who supported their brother or sister with a promise of, “go, don’t worry, I’ll take care of Mom.”
To the friends, who showed up on the doorstep before every deployment and return.
And of course, the husbands, wives and children who bear the most every day.
We can do great honor to all those individuals who paid the ultimate price in service to our nation by thinking of them and enjoying the gift they have given us; the ability to feel safe from those who wish us harm.
