The stylish yet sophisticated Mexican restaurant in Murray Hill draws on influences from around the world. Since its inception in 2011, Teqa has been giving a new spin on the classic taquería. With new management and the introduction of Executive Chef Steve Cruz (formerly of Rayuela, Cavo, and The Orchard House) the menu has been spiced up with new signature items that are sure to create a fiesta in your mouth. Menu items including the new Black Bean Sopa and Mahi Mahi Taco are a modern take on traditional Mexican cuisine, and are just as colorful as they are flavorful.

Adding some sizzle to the restaurant, Teqa has a glamorous nightlife scene, offering more than just a great place to grab a taco. Focusing on fun, the Teqa experience includes over 100 types of Tequila. The bartenders create works of art with their vast tequila list, including signature margaritas like the Breakfast Margarita, Tommy’s Margarita and Hibiscus Rose Margarita.

If the signature margaritas aren’t enough to get you in the spirit of drinking, the dècor will. Decorated with a mix of traditional elements of Mexican style, Teqa has an enchanting and lively interior. The fun inspiration behind the furnishings at the bar is the celebration of the cultures that have shaped the 500-year-long history of tequila, including a tequila bottle chandelier. The fun interior proves that the restaurant is ready for a Mexican fiesta any time of the day.
