The Weekender…11/8-11/10

11.07.2013

Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are some ideas…

Ice Skating: the cold weather is quickly approaching and you know what that means? Time to break out your winter coats, gloves and of course, your ice skates! Head over to the Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park or The Rink at Rockefeller Center, and show off your skating skills.

Shopping: with the holidays right around the corner, it’s about that time to start buying gifts. Bryant Park has 125 boutique-style shops for the holidays, and Union Square is having their Autumn Fair. On the designer side, head over to the Daily Candy Bazaar, C.Wonder’s first ever sample sale, and the Gilt City Warehouse Sale.

Art and Attractions: for a day attraction, head over to Conrad NY for the NYC Autumn Wine Festival. If you like art, take a trip to the MAD Museum for the Fashion Jewelry: The Collection of Barbara Berger exhibit, The MoMA for the Designing Modern Women 1890-1990 exhibit, or the NY Transit Museum for the Grand Central Sketchbook: Designers Dream exhibit.
